WHAT IS A HACKATHON?

A hackathon is an event that gathers designers, programmers, and dreamers with different skills to create projects with potential social impact. Workshops and speakers will be present to teach attendees different skills. There will also be swag and prizes throughout the event!
 

 

WHEN AND WHERE IS XXHACKS?

XXHacks will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 8:30AM - 8:30PM at the Symantec Office in Mountain View.

HOW MUCH DOES THE EVENT COST?

This event—including food, swag, and prizes—is completely free!
 

 

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Any female high school student is welcome to apply and attend.

HOW DO I FORM A TEAM?

You don't need to form a team beforehand. In fact, we will have time during the event to find a team. (Each team may have up to 4 individuals.) 
 

 

DO I NEED PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE?

Having prior programming experience will be helpful, but there are no specific skills required. There will be workshops for you to learn new skills and mentors throughout the hackathon to help you personally. 
 

 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

A laptop and charger.
